FAQs
Below are some of the frequently asked questions we have encountered over the years. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions that are not answered here.
What is a Notary Public?
A Notary Public a specialist solicitor who can do something a normal solicitor cannot; they can notarise documents for use abroad. Normal solicitors can certify documents, but they cannot notarise them.
How long does a notary appointment take?
The length of a notary appointment varies a lot depending on how many documents you are having notarised, and if any issues arise during the process. For example, if you give us a document that has not been drafted properly, you can pay us a fee to re-draft it for you.
A straightforward appointment with no issues should only take a few minutes.
What should I bring to my notary appointment?
Aside from the documents you need notarised, you will need to bring proof of identification and proof of address. This is so we can verify that you are who you say you are.

Proof of address includes:- Bank statements
- Council tax bills
- Mortgage statements
- Utility bills
Can I have my appointment outside of business hours?
Yes, your appointment can take place outside of our business hours. Nathan works outside of the usual 9 to 5 that the rest of the company operates in, and he often takes appointments outside of normal hours.
